Record details

BirdPix:   644
Province:
Country:   Botswana
Locus:   1823DA
Observer:   Kennedy David; Photographs: Dave; Anne; Tina; Samantha Kennedy
Date of record:   2012-04-23
Number of photos:   3
Notes:   Apparent courtship display involving a high-kicking dance and tossing beakfuls of dead vegetation (potential nesting material?)into the air. This continued for some time - perhaps 20 minutes - during which time the female totally ignored the performance. I hope he was ultimately successful, because they are seriously threatened.
