Doug Harebottle (email to LGU 16 January 2017) "Pretty sure it's an African Hawk Eagle. Large dark trailing edge of wing and underwing patterns matches. Plus a thick terminal band on tail and tips of primaries are black. They are a fairly common Lowveld species. Only other possibility is pale form European Honey Buzzard (which also has a long tail) but it lacks the dark underwing patches and primaries have thicker black patch to them."
