Notes:   looking at Chamberlain's LBJs wondering if this is a normal moult stage of the red collared widow (No red collar)- or one of the hybrids that he discusses on p.312 seen many pin tail whydahs but only identified one indigo(today) in these reedbeds. pic taken at Lanseria - usual Costello dam & reed site. It seems to have absolutely no colour in collar, others in vicinity are in quite large mixed flocks but still with red collar - have not moulted
