Notes:   There had been a lot of flying ant hatching from the school field below and behind us, with over twenty different species of birds gorging themselves. Three YB Kites were involved and one swooped to ground and grabbed what looked to be a small snake off the field. The other two then tailed the one with its prey for several minutes and this buzzard decided to join the frey and tailed the 3 kites for a further several minutes, before coming to rest in the tree outside our back garden. There was no real animosity displayed by any of the birds, but was just strange to see the buzzard circling around with the kites. This bird seems to be younger than an adult that has been at this location for several weeks now, and is probably responsible for the strange call I have recorded in the last couple of weeks. (Different to the adults call - slower and longer with a slight inflection at the end of each call)
