Comment:   This is a Kalahari endemic, known from SA, Botswana and Namibia. Its large white and reddish larvae live freely in dune sand. It is fairly common and widespread in the northern parts of the northern Cape, and almost always associated with Kalahari dunes. Closely related to A. lanner.
