This beautiful species - and excellent photograph! - is probably Bankisus carinifrons. it is known from DRC, Malawi, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Its larvae probably live well concealed under dust in small recesses on sheltered rock ledges, like those of its congener B. oculatus, although not certain, as none have been reared or collected. |
