Comment:   Originally described from Victoria Falls - hence the name cataractae. This is a very large and robust species that is uncommon, occasionally being attracted to light. Known from the northern and eastern parts of SA and Zimbabwe, so this is a very interesting record from Malawi. Larvae unknown.
