Comment:   This species is fairly widespread in the northern parts of SA. Known from Free State, Gauteng, Limpopo, North West and Northern Cape. Also from Botswana and Namibia. The largest reddish-brown larvae live freely in soil, and one was recorded feeding on a small scorpion.
