Comment:   This is almost certainly the pit of a species of Cueta sp. They are all almost indistinguishable in the larval stage, all all characterized by the pink colour. Pits are always built in the open in direct sun. During the heat of the day, they burrow downwards, but are nonetheless able to withstand very high temperatures. They have to be reared to identify the adults.
