Comment:   This magnificent species is endemic to the Kalahari region of South Africa, Botswana and Namnibia and its distribution is largely centred in the Kalahari transfrontier Park. It is characterized by the long, narrow, sinuate and mottled wings that afford very effective camouflage when these large insects are at rest. The large black larvae live freely in deep Kalahari sand sand.
