I do not believe the following is trustworthy: "Very similar to Precis pelarga, from which it differs in the squarish post-discal patch in space 3
with the black dot placed in its centre (in pelarga the black dot is placed closer to its distal border) (Kielland, 1990d)" Reason: when I go through eg Williams 2020 pictures I see that this is not consistent.
Therefore, I went looking in the older literature and found this (consistent with pictures in Williams 2020): "This " wet " form, for which we propose the name P. actia furcata [Nico: “wet phase form”] is distinguished by the postdiscal costal branch of the band of the upperside of the forewing being better expressed than in P. pelarga f. pelarga" (Rothschild & Jordan, 1903; Novit.
