Southern African Reptile Conservation Assessment

Record details

   [ Record 21 of 30 ]
:   159861
Province:   Gauteng
Country:   South Africa
Locus:   2528CD
Observer:   Neser W
Date of record:   1986-10-01
Number of photos:   2
Notes:   At the time, I had this down as philllipsii, based on the post nasal being undevided, the individual at time of ima, was due to shed, but colouration remained very bland post shedding... Now, looking at is again, I am no longer certain that it is moossambicus. Behaviour and bite and strength etc wise it did not feel like brevirostris, this was a robust snake... There is a chance that it was later deposited at the TM, but digging in there is a mission for another time... will update if I do find it there...
