We have noticed a westerly movement of Acara acraea. They now have been recorded near East London, Queenstown, Grahamstown etc. First record was in January 2016 and we now have more than 10 for that part of the Eastern Cape. The theory is that it is because of the invasion of Passiflora caerulea which Acara acraea can use as a food plant. |
