Comment:   Common and widespread throughout the Afrotropical Region. Adults usually inhabit grassy areas where they hawk their prey at dusk in the manner of dragonflies. Eggs are laid in batches on leaves and stems, and the larvae, which resemble antlions, are sedentary ambush-predators.
