Comment:   This species of Cueta has a fairly limited distribution, being mainly centred on the Eastern Cape. It is very similar to other species of the genus, but may be distinguished by more heavily marked wing veins, genitalic features and abdominal pattern. Its characteristically pink larvae construct pits in completely exposed situations, and are able to tolerate fairly high temperatures. This species should be known as the “Albany Cueta” as it is centred in the Grahamstown to Port Elizabeth area.
