Possibly P. chordatus.
Baboon Spiders are quite adaptable and are found in Kenya everywhere from deserts to mid-altitude forest and woodland. Plenty of Baboon spiders in/around Nanyuki area.
Generally considered harmless, they do still have venom, and their fangs are quite large, so a bit would still hurt. Unlikely to cause any major issues, though. Enjoy having them around, and try to get some more photos, please. Try using a camera with a macro function and a flash, so you can see more detail. |
