These become more complicated north of RSA. You can see that the marbeling on this one is not as distinctive as with the small marbled elf or the marbled elf. That is why I think it is E. melania. I am also thinking (but not very sure) that the photo on the right might be something else. With the genus Eretis the hind wing is scalloped, you can clearly see it in the first photo. But I cannot see it in the second photo, so this might be something in the Sarangesa genus. |
