Notes:   All of the butterflies were captured within a 100m radius of the above co-ordinates. Our main source of information and identification was from: Steve Woodhall, Field Guide to Butterflies of South Africa, Struik. We positively id Kersten?s Hairtail (Anthene kersteni), which according to Woodhall does not occur in the Pafuri area. However, he does mention that they occur in Mozambique.

Comment:   Out of interest sake, we collected some in 2009 near Hoedspruit, and I got quite a few near Thohoyandou last weekend. Why they magically appear at some of these places is still a mystery...
