Comment:   This looks like a female Macronemeurus, but cannot be sure. it is possibly M. tinctus a common and widespread species throughout SA. It also occurs in all of our neighbouring countries and extends as far north as Tanzania and Kenya. The males are very characteristic because of their long ectoprocts. Nothing is known of its larvae.
