Comment:   This is a female in typical pose, probably emitting pheromones. Unfortunately cannot be sure of the species, although it is probably P. involvens. This species is widespread in eastern and northern South Africa, from Grahamstown to northern KZN, extending to Gauteng (Pretoria) and into Zimbabwe. The well camouflaged larvae live on branches, where they are “sit and wait” predators.
