Comment:   Species of Parankylopteryx are characterized by very broad wings that are usually characteristically marked with black. The genus is widespread in the Afrotropical region, where they generally inhabit forested areas. They rest on the undersides of leaves, with the wings held very flat against the leaf surface. They are particularly beautiful lacewings when alive.
