Comment:   This is one of the brown lacewings. The species is fairly widespread in southern Africa. Occurring in most of the provinces. The adults are attracted to light, but are not often seen. The larvae of brown lacewings are free-living on vegetation, and prey upon small soft-bodied Homoptera and other insects.
