This is probably Hemerobius nairobicus, one of the brown lacewings. it is very difficult to separate species of Hemerobiidae without genitalic dissections. H. reconditus is widespread in southern Africa, extending as far north as Kenya.The larvae of brown lacewings are active predators on vegetation, where they prey upon soft-bodies insects such as mealy bugs and scale insects. |
