Comment:   This species is fairly rare, and is endemic to the Western and Northern Cape provinces. The males are characterized by the lyre-shaped ectoprocts. They are very fast fliers, and attracted to light. The known larvae of this genus live upside down under rocks and are unable to withstand very high temperatures
