Comment:   This looks like a Hemerobius, possibly H. reconditus but cannot be sure. H, reconditus is widespread in Africa, and occurs in most provinces of SA. All known larvae of Hemerobiidae are voracious and active predators that live on plants and actively pursue prey such as aphids and other small Homoptera. They are consequently valuable biocontrol agents.
