Comment:   Palpares pobeguini does not occur in SA, being known from central Africa, Malawi, DRC, Zambia. It is closely related, however, to the SA species: P. speciosus and P. caffer. it seems to inhabit grassy areas. Larvae are unknown. it should be accommodated in a new genus, along with the two above SA species.
