Comment:   Possibly C. punctatissima. This species is fairly common and widespread in southern Africa and easily be confused with other Cueta species – it is very similar to C. trivirgata and easy to confuse, but generally seems to have more spotting in the wings. The pit-building larvae occur in hard soil in completely exposed situations. All Cueta larvae are pinkish in colour, and are impossible to distinguish from one another.
