Comment:   This is probably an undescribed species of Cueta that seems to be confined to the Western Cape. Adults of this genus are fairly easy to distinguish from one another, mainly by wing and abdominal markings, while Cueta larvae are very similar and characterized by the pink colour. Pits are always built in the open in direct sun. During the heat of the day, they burrow downwards, but are nonetheless able to withstand very high temperatures.
