N. karrooa is common and widespread in the Northern and Western Cape Provinces of SA, where it is endemic This genus of arrow-winged lacewings is known only from the Western and Northern Cape Provinces and southern Namibia where it is fairly widespread - although some species are localized. They are characteristically yellow with brown abdominal stripes, with a prominent pterostigma. Strongly attracted to light. Larvae are thought to live freely in sand. |
