Commonly known as "silky" or "moth lacewings" This species is fairly common in the western parts of SA, extending into Namibia, known as far north as the Naukluft Park. This is the smallest of the Silveira species and inhabits more arid areas than its congeners. Larvae are unknown, but probably live in detritus. so your identification is correct. |
