A fairly common and widespread species, occurring over most of South Africa. Readily attracted to light. The larvae live concealed on dusty rock ledges in small caves and under rock overhangs, where they are very well camouflaged as sit-and-wait predators. This picture also shows the characteristic spotting on the abdomen. |
