A beautiful species that can easily be confused with Dysochrysa furcata because of the red coloration of the thorax and abdomen. It is a very widespread species, extending from northern SA (Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo) into Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi. There are also records from DRC and Ethiopia. Nothing is known of its biology, but the larvae are possibly ant-associated. |
