Comment:   This beautiful antlion is a typical savanna grassland species. Fairly widespread in the northern parts of SA, including KZN, FS, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and North-West provinces. Also known from Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. It is usually found resting in long grass. The larvae live in soil between grass tussocks.
