Comment:   This species is widespread from DRC, through Zimbabwe to SA, but is very rare in collections. The two specimens found at Hans Hoheisen WRC consequently represent quite a find. Neuroleon is a large and complex genus with many undescribed taxa in the Afrotropical Region. Known larvae live freely in sand or in sheltered rock crevices.
