Comment:   a Centroclisis, possibly C. distincta, but cannot be sure. C. distincta is the largest of the Centroclisis species, it was described by Rambur in 1842. It is uncommon, but very widespread in Africa from SA to Senegal, even Madagascar. known from many African countries. In SA known from KZN, Mpumalanga, Limpopo. The exact identity of the species has, until recently, been misinterpreted leading to many synonyms - despite it being called "distincta" !! Larva unknown.
