Comment:   This is an undescribed species of Cueta, common in North Western SA and beyond. The abdominal pattern - clearly visible here - is characteristic. it is probably the same as your 9883, but that one is a male, hence the longer abdomen. All Cueta larvae are very similar and characterized by the pink colour. Pits are always built in the open in direct sun. During the heat of the day, they burrow downwards, but are nonetheless able to withstand very high temperatures
