Atlas of African Spiders

Record details

   [ Record 3 of 4 ]
SpiderMAP:   11976
Province:   Western Cape
Country:   South Africa
Locus:   3419AD
Observer:   Mishak Boshoff; Franchesca SR Stimming
Date of record:   2019-08-08
Number of photos:   2
Notes:   The spider was covered with a striking golden iridescence. The spider is about as long as a matchbox and ran faster than a rain spider its size. Once startled it returned quickly to a hole in the wall 30cm away. In the morning a desiccated centipede was lying 60cm from the hole. I'm eager to know more about this spider as I now share a house with it.
