Notes:   I came across this spider in my back yard last night. Unfortunately my dog got to it first. It had one leg broken off and was cowering in a corner with one of its leg twitching slowly. It's the first time I have ever seen a baboon spider in this area (Bloubergstrand) and I have grown up here for most my life. I am very curious as to what type of Baboon spiders it is and whether it is native to the area or if it is perhaps someone's pet that got out.
