Comment:   This species is known from Limpopo and KZN and extends into Mozambique and Zambia. Osmylids are rarely encountered, but widespread in southern and central Africa. The larvae are semi-aquatic, living on the edges of streams where they prey on larvae of Chironomidae (Diptera) and other soft-bodied insects that live in the water. Very nice record!
