This beautiful species is widespread throughout South Africa, but not frequently encountered. They usually rest on bark, twigs or fence-posts The species extends beyond SA into Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania and Somalia. The large black larvae live freely in sand. |
