Comment:   This large, beautiful, delicate green lacewing is very widespread in Africa, extending from Rwanda and Kenya to South Africa. It is also fairly widespread in South Africa, known from Western and Eastern Cape Provinces, KZN. It is easily confused with with Apochrysa leptalea. It is usually encountered in forested areas. The large larvae are usually covered in waxy filaments, and live freely on vegetation. This species is rarely encountered.
