Comment:   In South Africa, this species is confined to the coastal belt of KZN, extending inland as far as Tembe and Ndumu reserves. its exact southern limit is unknown, but the holotype is from "Port Natal" So I guess it must have occurred around Durban in earlier times. It extends northwards along the coastal belt into Kenya. The large green and red larvae live freely in sand at the edges of coastal forests in KZN. Very nice pics of a special SA element - thanks
