Comment:   This is a true Western Cape endemic, known to extend as far east as the Bontebok National Park and to Piquetberg in the north west. It inhabits fynbos and is a very rapid flyer. Larvae are unknown. Several species of Pamexis are severely threatened by agriculture and urban expansion, and one is possibly already extinct as all records are from the 1800s, with only one specimen collected in the 1900s
