Notes: |
|
This young elephant was offended by the presence of the starling at his waterhole, so he began a dominance display involving, inter alia, much scattering of water about the place (first two photographs). The starling, far from being intimidated, knew exactly that it was doing, and had a great time grabbing and eating tiny frogs and other small water life unintentionally scattered about by the elephant. Makes one wonder how much water-life is unintentionally ingested by elephants.
