Province:   KwaZulu-Natal
Country:   South Africa
Locus:   2930AC
Observer:   Zaloumis, Alex
Date of record:   2012-02-11
Number of photos:   2
Notes:   relevance: although surrounded by reeds heavily occupied by cape weavers, this pine tree on an island in bluecrane dam. has a couple (3) of cape weaver nests. Rumours of a large colony and many nests further west in a pine plantation near human settlement could not be substantiated. This dam was drained 6 months ago to allow for construction. Its now full.
