Comment:   This animals gular lobes, reduced tubercles and colour suggest B. pumilum over B. gutturale.

Comment:   Do not want to disagree with Krystal and Marius, but this also looks more like B. pumilum to me. It is a small specimen, so maybe the adult features are not fully developed? Would like to know reasons for B. gutterale ID. Marius? Krystal?

Comment:   Hey Luke and James: You had me going there for a while when you suggested that this may be pumilum. But even the fynbos pumilum morph has fleshy gular flaps (not conical spines).

Comment:   Specimens of both pumilum and gutturale may on occassion have faint tubercles. Although the colouration resembles fynbos pumilum, it also seems within the range of gutturale.

Comment:   There are an additional four B.pumilum records on Inaturalist from the Riviersonderend Mountain range. They are all green dwarfed "fynbos morphs" like this one.
