I suggest that this is a good example of an intergrade between signatus and cafer, but the strongly serrated posterior margin suggests that it is signatus, not cafer, as do the relatively coarse markings. |

James is right in that this is currently coinsidered an intergrade. However the exact status of these specimens from the Hantam is yet be tested genetically and I think we should just stick to calling the whole lot `Homopus signatus' for the atlas pe |
