Comments by the Expert Panel on this record:

Comment number:   1
By:   Luke Kemp
Comment:   I feel the snake is too thick-set for a Thelotornis. The pale chin, large eye and dark mark on the neck are often seen in Boomslang
Date:   2019-01-08 11:26:19
Species name:   Dispholidus typus viridis -- Northern Boomslang
Species code:   4693
Comment number:   2
By:   Darren Pietersen
Comment:   I agree that this snake is too robust for a Thelotornis, and colouration matches Dispholidus rather than Thelotornis. Based on Eimermacher (2012), the subspecies here should be D. kivuensis.
