ID based on spines and long tail (longer than head and body). I didn't consider anchietae because it is way out of range according to Branch's book. I agree that it is possible but I cannot distinguish the latter from aculeata. |

Southern Rock Agama, juvenile.
A. anchietae does not occur in this region, while A. aculeata has distinct longitudinal rows of enlarged dorsals. |
