Notes:   We were alerted to the presence of this Monitor by the alarm calls of Tree Squirrels. As we got closer we heard a continuous series of loud grunts. On sighting the monitor,we noted that it had captured a large bullfrog, which was putting up considerable resistance. Eventually the Monitor disappeared with its trophy into the bush, the bullfrog's cries as it fought for its life continuing undiminished.
